Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the United States, and the Briar Forest and Energy Corridor neighborhoods reflect that diversity in profound ways. Thousands of Houston-area residents navigate the immigration process each year, and a critical step in that journey is the USCIS civil surgeon examination. Hybrid Health Clinics at Briar Forest is proud to offer immigration physicals at 13410 Briar Forest Drive, Suite 190 — a service uniquely available at this location within our clinic network.

The immigration physical, documented on Form I-693 (Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record), is required for applicants adjusting their status to lawful permanent resident. Only physicians designated as civil surgeons by USCIS are authorized to perform this examination. Our designated civil surgeon at the Briar Forest clinic conducts these exams in accordance with current USCIS Technical Instructions, ensuring your documentation meets federal requirements.

The immigration physical examination includes:

  • Complete medical history review — evaluation of past and present physical and mental health conditions as required by USCIS
  • Physical examination — comprehensive assessment including vision, hearing, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological screening
  • Tuberculosis screening — TB blood test (IGRA) or chest X-ray per current CDC guidelines, performed on-site
  • Vaccination review and administration — verification of required immunizations including MMR, varicella, Tdap, influenza, hepatitis B, and others per the CDC schedule; missing vaccines can be administered during your visit
  • Laboratory testing — syphilis serology, gonorrhea screening, and other tests as indicated by USCIS guidelines
  • I-693 completion — the form is completed, signed, and sealed by the civil surgeon for submission with your immigration application

We understand the significance of this examination in your immigration journey and treat every patient with the respect, privacy, and thoroughness the process deserves. Our diverse West Houston community means our staff is experienced in working with patients from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Appointments for immigration physicals are available during our extended hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 7 PM; Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM; Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. We recommend scheduling in advance to ensure all required vaccines are in stock. Call 281-771-1144 to book your civil surgeon exam.
